Original Waffle Shop is a family owned restaurant in State College, PA, home of Pennsylvania State University. Once upon a time in a land far away, John Dimakopoulos was consumed by the American Dream. So in 1966 John left his native land of Greece in persuit of that dream and in 1973 he launched a new restaurant concept in State College, focusing soley on breakfast, brunch, and lunch. For nearly 40 years now John has been delighting customers with hearty breakfasts and soul satisfying meals. Our goal is to always serve fantastic food at a fair price and make sure you have a great experience.
